The ECU HIL test simulates the state of the real engine through the hardware and software system environment , Allowing the ECU to achieve safe operation in the car by controlling the exercise of the fake engine.

Guo Huangzhi pointed out that both PXI and CompactRIO platforms of National Instruments can conduct ECU HIL testing; if the test project is complex, PXI machine can be selected. The instrument has a large model, many test channels, and a large measurement flexibility; The CompactRIO platform has the characteristics of immediacy, low power consumption, and built-in field programmable gate array (FPGA), which are suitable for harsh test environments.

On the other hand, Guo Huangzhi mentioned that the test products of American National Instruments are mainly used in a wide range of applications, that is, one machine can be applied to different application fields; the biggest difference between the company ’s ECU equipment and its competitors is that ECU R & D Through the LabVIEW software interface, personnel can develop ECU-specific testers on general-purpose instruments and input / output (I / O) modules, thereby achieving the purpose of customization.

Guo Huangzhi emphasized that many instruments on the market today can also be designed with software and hardware to implement customized ECU measurement functions. However, because these products mostly write programs in low-level languages, it is difficult to achieve the measurement purpose or spend too much time. , Leading to longer time to market and shortened product life; LabVIEW can use high-level language to write test programs, which will help automotive manufacturers improve the competitiveness of ECU products.
